I work as an artist and educator around Cheshire and Greater Manchester running a business that provides educational art workshops.

All workshops are tailored to meet a group's needs. I have worked in all key stages - from nursery through to Higher Education and including special needs. My workshops address all aspects of Art and Design within the National Curriculum and target a knowledge and skills based approach to learning, in a confident and enjoyable atmosphere.

I studied sculpture and painting at the Slade School of Fine Art, and have been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember.

I am CRB checked and have adequate public liability cover for all art workshops.

Hand Made Paper

Time to roll you sleeves up and get stuck in. This workshop lets children make their own paper and incorporate their designs into its surface and layers with a wide variety of materials. I have often used this workshop as an introduction to Japanese Arts and Crafts.

In paper making workshops we can make a variety of sizes and thicknesses of paper which can contain just about anything as long as it is relatively flat. Here the paper has been inlayed with coloured raffia, dry pigments, inks, liquidized beetroot, leaves, shredded letters, bits from the garden etc.
