My paintings and drawings are of landscapes. They are products of my experiences, observations and memories. I create them with a need to capture the places and events that I find remarkable.
I push paint around, excavate its layers and redraw its surface until it describes itself and the experience that informs it.
In practice my work represents exterior and interior landscapes and explores themes of natural and artistic abstraction.
