Teaching children the language of feelings
AIMS
Our vision is to teach children the language they need to express their feelings, build self-esteem and develop relationships.
Twelve primary schools from different settings in Cheshire form this network, providing a dynamic exchange of ideas, support and learning about how to achieve this vision for children and staff in a creative way, with an emphasis on developing practical strategies in the classroom.
The main aim of the project is to consider the impact of emotions and feelings on learning outcomes for children and adults, and to ensure all feel included and able to join in.
We Aim:
- To enhance the quality of children’s learning experiences with a particular focus on children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- To encourage ‘Learning Power’ at every level.
- To establish frameworks for understanding children’s social and emotional development.
- To foster interdependence and embrace diversity amongst and between school communities.
